Progress!!

Here are some pics of my new cabinets that we installed temporarily in my kitchen. We want to redo our kitchen in a couple of years so these cabinets will work for now. We have it so when we redo our kitchen these cabinets will just pull out so my husband can use them in the barn.

This is before they were installed. We moved the refrigerator over and put these right where the refrigerator used to be.

This is them completely installed you can see just a little bit of the refrigerator on the right. I really think they are going to work very well.
Off to start moving the kitchen items out of my room!! Nice weekend project!

Wahoo!!!!!

My wonderful husband finally gave me the go ahead to take a room upstairs in our house and make it my craft room. I'm so happy but with how busy my summer has been I hope I will be able to find time to do it. The room I'm taking is what we call our "multipurpose room" it has our washer and dryer, a spare bed, and misc kitchen items in it. So there is a lot of stuff I need to find homes for before I can move in. I have to do everything in steps and not get too far ahead of myself(this is the toughest part).

I will take before, during and after shots. I want to have it done by my birthday (mid July). I'm not sure if the schedule will allow it but I'm going to try.

This has been the 5th time since I've lived here I've moved my craft area but now I have A LOT more stuff.. Can't wait to keep you guys posted of my progress of my room. Until then off to work on it!

Wedding Cake!

Man I tell you what a whirl wind couple of months. This will go down in history as one of my busiest spring/summers ever. It seems like I spend one week at home then the next week I'm traveling and then the cycle starts all over again.
Here is the wedding cake I did a couple of weeks ago in Dallas for Brad one of my friends from culinary school. He did my wedding cake 5 years ago it was great I was able to return the favor.

You can't see it in the picture but we put in a light under the cake top to change color during the reception. I hope you like it! It was white cake with lemon filling very yummy!

I hope I'm getting better

Well today was my 4th Stampin' Up! party..I keep trying to tweaking my party set up. Some people said my parties were a bit to structured and wanted a little more freedom. So today to celebrate national scrapbook month I brought a lot of my stuff and just had them have fun!! I had a great time one of my guests brought her teenage daughter and she had a blast using all my punches..Just with her saying this was cool and that was cool gave me great joy. If her mom would have let her I think she would have bought one of everything.

I still don't feel like I've had the perfect party yet but I'm learning from every one of them. My Aunt was there today and she was at my first party. I hope I will be able to find out tomorrow what she thought of this party.

I feel proud to say that at every single party I've had at least one person say to me "I'm so surprised you have only been doing this for 2 months." As I tell them; I've only been selling these products for only 2 months I've been a fan for many, many years.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend.

Happy Crafting!

busy bee

I have been getting ready for my second party on Saturday. My craft time has been limited since my little one wants to be outside all the time since the weather FINALLY started to get nice.

I was able to craft with my niece and SIL this past weekend. This is what I came up with. My SIL is so great every time I make a new card she tells me "I think this is the nicest card you've ever made."

Here are the a couple of hostess gifts I made. If I had more candles I would be making so many more. They are so much fun and easy to make.

I have three new stamp sets and punches from the new summer catalog. My favorites is this butterfly from the Strength and Hope stamp set. I also love that for every set that is purchased Stampin up donates $2 to breast cancer research.

Have I told you I love this stamp set.

Card Time!

I found some time to make a couple of cards. I copied this off of the Stampin' Up websites and added my own touch. I used the same layout for both cards I hope you like them.

The one on the website was just the marina mist, whisper white and chocolate chip. I thought it needed a little splash of color so I added the pink flower with the pearl in the center.

This one I wanted to use a little more color on so I used my color coach to suggest the colors to match.

With Easter coming up I'm going to be a busy girl, I will be baking and we have someone coming out tomorrow to do an install for our satellite. Friday I will be finishing the cakes and we have a new bed being delivered. Also in these two days I want to put the finishing touches on a scrapbook my aunt wanted me to make for her. So I may not be posting until after Easter.

I hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

Naptime Craft Time

When I was doing my nap time crafting, I took some pictures of some cards I did a couple of days ago. I also did the hand sanitizer covers that I saw on dawnsstampingthoughts.net. They are so cute and easy too. I may tweak the measurements a little. They are so cute, I can't wait to make more.
I had a star cut out already in my scrap box but it was red and I wanted it to match the paper so I used alcohol ink (this time I made sure the lid was on tight) to darken the color.

The hand sanitizer cover!

This is the tulip card for Easter that I used my new owl punch.

This is a sneak peek of the new punches that they are offering in the summer catalog. I'm so excited for this catalog there are some very cute things in it can't wait to show you more. Can you tell I'm turning into a punch girl.

This is the 4 frames and paper from the Spring is Blossoming promotion Stampin' Up is currently running til April 30th.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Quilted Hearts

Sorry it has taken me a couple of day to post the picture. This is one of the cards I did before my little mess. I used the heart from the owl punch and used the quilt technique I've been wanting to do. I love how it came out. I think I will use bigger hearts the next time..I hope you enjoy!
We had about 2 inches of snow on the grown this morning but it is melting pretty quick.

I hope you have a great day!

Lesson Learned

Well had a great time last night creating but it was cut short by a little mess. I opened my container that I store my alcohol ink and lets just say I had purple fingers now after many, many, many washes they are starting to look a little more smurf like. So did I learn anything....Always make sure your lids to your inks are on tight! I will post my pictures of what I did in a bit...I tried a technique I've been wanting to do for a while. Well I hope it is sunny and warm where ever you are. They say this rain will change to snow tonight....blah! I'm so ready for spring!
Have a great day!

While waiting for UPS

While waiting for the UPS man to show up with my Stampin' Up! goodies, I worked on a little purse from Forever Young Cartridges for my niece.

This is the front

This is the back she LOVES lady bugs and googly eyes.

I hope she likes it. Have a great day!

Floral Embellishments Card

Hello Everyone
Sorry that it has taken me so long to post. I only have worked with one of my new cartridges. It is from the Floral Embellishments cartridge. It took a while to put it together, there were six different layers and some were really small. The next one I make I may bling it out, with gems and stickles. I am VERY happy with how it turned out, I'm using it for a Thank you card.

This other card is from my little one, we had our first play date and I wanted to send them a card.
I used Create-A-Critter and used a Fiskers textured plate and embellished it with some googly eyes. Its pretty simple but since it is from my little one I didn't want to over do it.

Hope you enjoy!

Welcome New Followers

I want to thank everyone that has come over here from Momo. This is such a great idea and it is wonderful way to see blogs I wouldn't have other wise seen.

Thanks everyone!

1st Workshop Done!

Well my first workshop is in the books...I'm relived..I was up at the crack of dawn with the thoughts of a last minute card. It was such a learning experience I learned what to do and not to do. The had it with people I love so it was great to have support when I messed things up. It looks like I have potential of three parties. After the party was over we had an "after party" so I could show my aunt my Cricut. She has been waiting patiently for the Cricut 2 to come out. I can't wait for her to get the 2 so I can go see her and try it.
Also I had a great weekend with my family...I'm so blessed to have such a great family, I thank God everyday for them. I did cry when I had to say good-bye but I cry even when I say good-bye to my family that lives just a little over an hour away. One good thing is that I will have to see them as soon as their orders come in.

I hope everyone has a great week!

Some cards I've done

This is an invite I did for my niece's birthday party. Used the Cricut for the tree and Fiskars embossing plates.

This one I used Stampin' Up Fun & Fast notes (item 113500). Look how great the stamped image came out. Love my Stampin' Up products.

This one I did for my niece's birthday card she loves snow white. I used the Cricut Happily Ever After Cart and for the back ground I used another Fiskars embossing plate.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I have such a busy week.. I made a list of all the stuff that need to be done before I leave for Toledo and it is a long list. I don't have anywhere to go today, so keep your fingers crossed that the little one will be patient enough so I get most of it done.

Stampin' Up note: I did a couple of cards this weekend I used non Stampin' Up stamps and I tell you night and day difference. I can't wait to place my first order of supplies, so I can start replacing my cheap stamps. I used their paper for the first time to and LOVE IT!

Before I get my day started I will add a couple of cards I've made the pass couple of weeks. I used the Cricut on a couple of them.
With my fingers crossed....Have a wonderful day!

Happy St Patties Day

Happy St Patrick's Day! I've had my traditional Irish meal of corned beef and cabbage for lunch. So it has been such a great day. It is a beautiful day outside here in Michigan I may take the little one out later. The wind is a bit cold but the sun is out! Have to enjoy it while we have it.

I just did a quick card using my new Full Heart Extra-Large Punch. (Item# 119883) This is my first time using a Stampin' Up punch and I must say it is so far one of the best I've tried.

Still getting ready for my workshops...I'm still having so much fun playing with these stamp sets.

Have a Great Day!!
